Going Wireless

It has been a very busy week here at the Adrien house. Last night, Morgan came home from another week at the Hospital. Her oxygen saturations had dropped and she was not tolerating feeds, so her Doc wanted her admitted. She crashed hard Friday morning, stopped breathing and needed to be put on a ventilator. Tests were run and all cam back negative, so we still have no answer as to what caused the problem. The good news here is that after having the ventilator taken out and CPAP removed, she did not require oxygen any more. Morgan also received a bit of blood transfusion because her red cell count was 1/2 what it should be. With red cells carrying oxygen from the lungs out into the body, it is no wonder her saturations were low! So for the first time since she came home on March 2nd, Morgan is wireless! We now have a oximeter at home to be able to check saturations, but it is not hooked to her continually. Below is a picture from today, awake with nothing connected. More to come soon.
