OMG! She's 7!!!!!
Well, we now officially have a 7 year old daughter. Kaylee's birthday was on the
28th. It is hard for me to believe that she is 7 already. I, of course, can remember being pregnant with her and when she was born. It just means that I am getting old. I'm going to have to start getting all up to date on the tween lingo. Before we know it she'll want us to drop her off at the mall. AHHH!
Kaylee luckily got to celebrate her birthday on the actual day. The tradition in my family is to make the first born wait two additional weeks before they can celebrate their 7th birthday. This seems pretty harsh just to get them to stop sucking their thumb. Well, that was 28 years ago so I guess I should get over it. :) No hurt feelings, Mom!
Kaylee had a family party with Grammy, Grampy, Auntie Holly and us on Friday after Thanksgiving. She got to spend Wednesday shopping with Grammy and came home with several great new outfits. She has not wanted to wear them to school because she is afraid to ruin them. She got to play Wii with everyone and had a good time. We had a nice quiet day on her birthday. She went to school and she opened her presents when Craig got off of work. She got some great Hannah Montana stuff, her own Wii controller, money and a ginormous Fashion Show/Rock Concert Thing from Auntie Lisa. We love you Lisa, but where are we going to put this thing? :)
Kaylee will have a few friends from school over tomorrow. She is having a High School Musical 2 party, except her crazy mother bought High School Musical party stuff. Can you believe that? She was a pretty good sport about it thankfully. The kids are going to play Bingo hosted by Spongebob Squarepants (on DVD) and then a Wii Bowling tournament. We will also have some pizza and cake, so it should be a pretty great time for all.
Enjoy the pics!
