There is no place like home!

Morgan improved drastically during her last 3 days in the Hospital, so much so, that she was able to come home on the 18th. She has been doing well at home, smiling and babbling her way through each day. Her breathing is better than it has been since August, very clear. In preparation for her Nissen surgery in a few weeks, Morgan is getting continuous feeds. This presents somewhat of a logistical problem as she is always connected. Minor inconvenience though as it does prevent her from vomiting. Her room has been taken over by medical equipment, as we were told we would basically be setting up an ICU at home. She is connected to a BiPAP machine at night which helps her take fuller breaths and makes sure her lungs stay open. We are hoping she is able to make better progress in other areas now that she is getting the oxygen her body needs and she is not fighting illness.

Today we were able to celebrate her 1st Birthday, only 23 days late. She was a bit unsure of the cake but did manage to get her hands a little dirty. As always, clicking on the picture will take you to more.
