Let it SNOW!!!!

Well, we had our first big Winter event in South Carolina today. We actually got SNOW! We had a scare a couple of weeks ago, when they forcasted snow and ice, but nothing happened. Then they started forcasting earlier this week that it was going to get really cold and that there was a storm coming in from Louisiana. When we woke up this morning around 5:30am, there was already snow on the ground and it was still coming down. School was closed so we went back to sleep! The media makes a big deal down here about being prepared for ice and power outages. So we sent Craig to the store last night to stock up on batteries and food that doesn't need the frig, microwave or stove to be ready to eat! Of course, our power has luckily been on all day. The snow is already melting, but I took the girls outside for a little while to play in it. Morgan wanted to walk around in the snow, because I put some little shoes on her that she had never worn before. She can't walk yet, so her walking around consisted of me holding her around the waist while she stamps her feet. We did have fun and we got to throw a couple of snowballs at Kaylee.

The girls are still doing good. Kaylee's new thing is experimenting with make up. She somehow got the idea that blue eyeliner goes above the eyebrow. I don't think she picked this up from me, but maybe she did? She looks very beautiful when she is all done up.

Morgan is doing very well with her physical therapy. She is starting to play up on her knees and this week she was doing really good (with help) on getting up to standing from a seated position. We have ordered her a stander and are anxiously awaiting its arrival as we think she will progress very fast once she spends some quality time getting weight through her legs. Her eating is also going very well and at our next appointment we will look at starting to cut back on her milk that goes in through her tube since she is eating more food by mouth. Morgan is also turning into a very mischievious little girl. When you tell her NOT to do something she just looks at you, smiles and keeps right on doing it. She was throwing her food on the floor the other day so I tapped her hand and said no. She laughed!!! I had visions of my brother Joe who used to do the same thing. The laughing either makes me mad or I want to laugh at her because she really is funny! I can see that she is going to be quite a handful.

Both girls are enjoying their space in the Playroom! I did not paint this room, but they have so much stuff in it that paint would be overwhelming (at least that is the excuse I use not to paint it). I've tried to cut back on the toys, but always find a reason to keep them. We finally found a table for our breakfast room. It turned out really great and we always eat all our meals at the table. It is great family time. Morgan spends her time throwing food on the floor, Kaylee won't tell us about her day and Craig and I already know about each others day because we spend the whole day together! Doesn't it sound like fun. I'm just kidding, it is really nice to spend dinner time together at the table. Reminds me of my good ole Mormon upbrining.

Well, I better go get Morgan her milk and make sure the girls are staying out of trouble. Hope you all are doing well and I'll blog again soon!
