Who is a Big Girl Now?

Well, I've been a little slow on moving Morgan along in several "big girl" steps that she should be making. One of those was moving her from her crib to a bed. We have been talking about it for awhile and I recently started looking at beds and was very discouraged as they are more expensive than I think they should be. My Mom suggested that I look on Craig's List to see if I could find anything there. She said that my sister, Heather, has found several pieces of furniture on Craig's list. So I went online and actually found a bunk bed set that was perfect for us. We drove about 50 miles to go look at it last Friday night in Spartanburg, SC. We decided we wanted it and Craig was even able to talk the seller down a little on the price and she threw in the comforters that she had for it. They are bright green and blue and don't match their room at all, but I was thinking for when they aren't sharing a room and maybe want to change their colors from pink and purple. So Craig picked up the bed on Sunday and we set everything up. So now we have two big girls. One who is sleeping on the top bunk and the other who is in her first big girl bed! The down side to the big girl bed is that Morgan can get out of it, so tonight after Craig put her to bed, Kaylee and I came home from our PTA meeting and she heard us so after a few minutes we heard Morgan's blankie (rattle) coming down the stairs. Hopefully it doesn't become a problem.

While we were in Spartanburg, we went to a place called Beacon Drive-In. We learned about this place while watching Dinners, Drive-ins and Dives (show on Food Network). It was cool to eat somewhere that we have seen on TV. Check it out at http://www.beacondrivein.com/.

As the school year is starting to come to a close the PTA is looking to put together their executive board for the coming year. I was very sure going into the coming year that I would probably just sign up for Vice President again, but we have been having a very hard time finding volunteers and we had no one stepping up to be President. I was able to talk with one other mom who has been very involved this year and we decided that we would volunteer to be Co-President's. So we are now working on getting the rest of our executive board together and planning for next year. I am very excited to be able to do this for Kaylee's school and I am doing on the job training on things that are very interesting to me. I am hoping to use this work to help me with my resume when it is time for me to get back into the job market. Well, wish me luck!
