Happy 2nd Birthday, Morgan!!!

We were all very excited to spend Morgan's 2nd Birthday at HOME! As you all know she spent her birth day in the NICU with a ventilator tube down her throat and her 1st Birthday in the PICU, on the ventilator, also. So, you can see why just being at home was such a treat. Morgan started the day by getting all ready for her big day. She loves to brush her teeth (yippee). She was too excited to take a nap so she went with Kaylee and Grammy to the mall. Grammy took her to Build-a-Bear to make her very own bear. Well, actually she made a doggie, but who's keeping track. Her doggie's name is WoofWoof. Morgan came up with that one on her own. The doggie has it's own carrier, leash and brush. When the girls came back from the mall they had Grampy with them so we decided it was a good time for Morgan to open the rest of her gifts. She is just starting to understand how to open presents. She kept saying "Rip It!" It was really fun.
I made an amazing Elmo Birthday Cake! For those of you in my family, this may remind you of the Papa Smurf Cake that my Mom made for Nick on his 1st Birthday. So I obviously get my cake decorating abilities from my Mom! Thanks, Mom! Craig just informed me that we had the exact same cake for Kaylee's 2nd Birthday. This cake was made by my sister Lisa, who must have inherited the same great cake decorating qualities from our Mom! Please feel free to vote for your favorite! No prizes will be awarded. :)

Morgan was not too sure about the singing of "Happy Birthday". She almost stuck her face in the cake trying to put her head down on the table.

We thought it was pretty funny. I told Craig that she would have been really scared if my family would have been singing "Happy Birthday" in their special way. :)
She had a really great day and we are all very happy to have such a sweet 2 year old to spend our time with. Now we will just cross our fingers that she doesn't head right into the Terrible Two's (and stay there like my brother, Joe)!
